A fresh take on CBD from a woman’s perspective

     CBD has been getting a lot of buzz in the woman’s world lately. With celebrities sponsoring certain brands and posting on their social media, it is leaving us all curious. If you aren’t familiar with what CBD is, I am here to fill you in.

     CBD stands for cannabidoil, a chemical derived from a cannabis plant. It helps support the body’s endocannabinoid system and plays a big role in bringing the body back to a state of balance. CBD is non-psychoactive and doesn’t produce the high that comes with marijuana. It is great for people like me because it provides relief minus the mind-altering affects.

     I’m writing this to share how CBD is has helped me with these topics that are unique to us, women.

         CBD can help improve the look of your skin overall. It reduces skin inflammation and regulates oil production of the sebaceous gland, which will then suppress breakouts. It also is a good source of fatty acids and other nutrients that help skin retain moisture and look youthful. Who doesn’t want that healthy glow? I know I do!

           CBD can help alleviate PMS symptoms including mood irregularities, bloating, cramping and irritability. Although ingesting a CBD product can help with overall mood, a topical lotion works instantly for me. It reduces inflammation and lessens my cramps.

           It is more than just getting your beauty rest; lack of sleep can lead to a variety of other health issues. This is why sleep is an essential part of life.            Looking healthy on the outside is one thing but having a healthy, strong mind is ultimately the most important. Serotonin, a neurotransmitter in our brain, affects our mental health. Low serotonin levels can lead to depression and anxiety. CBD is known to alter these levels and bring our body back to a state of balance.
